I Have a Dream

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
– James 1:27 (NIV)

About a year ago I saw a Dr. Phil show about couple's that have adopted baby's from China and the Ukraine as well as various other places. The children that they have adopted have attachment issues and autism. I was saddened for these families and these children for something that seems somewhat preventable and unnecessary. Obviously, no one knows the cause of autism but specifically the attachment issues.

So what is my dream? My dream is to start up an organization to hold these newborn babies and love them so they don't have the same attachment issues.

Wouldn't it be amazing to have people go into these orphanages to hold these babies and love them and care for them? But like everything there are hurdles. I think that the government in China would be less than willing to allow foreigner's go into these orphanages because of their living conditions. I think that it would take a lot of prayer for the leaders of China and these different places to allow us to do this.

It certainly would take quite a few volunteers to go to these places to hold these babies but just think of the outcome? Who doesn't love babies? Think of the differences in these babies and the families that would take them in!

Right now, there is no possibility for me to pursue something like this. But for now I will pray for an opportunity and pray for the open doors and the willingness for people to come and care for the babies. I will dream of the possibilities and the difference we can make in so many babies lives. I can only dream of the possibilities.
